Director of SEO / SEM

Anna Rice

What good is a website if no one can find it? That’s the question that drives the work of Anna, our Director of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

SEO is the map that helps search engines find and rank your website content. And SEM is the shortcut to reaching people who are actively searching for what your business offers.

Anna helps our clients become – and stay – digitally visible by closely tracking digital presence metrics and working endlessly to improve them. “On a typical day, you might find me conducting competitive research, analyzing data, helping our team optimize websites, or planning an ad campaign.”

It was during her time as a restaurant manager that Anna realized marketing was her calling. She earned her degree in Professional Writing from Old Dominion University, where she also studied digital marketing and web design. In her subsequent work as a freelance writer, she pursued certifications in various marketing topics.

Her favorite thing about working at Threshold Media? “I love my team and our clients,” she says. “We all care deeply about what we do – and getting top-notch results. Everyone is positive, funny, friendly, well-rounded and incredibly knowledgeable.”

When she’s not working, Anna loves spending time with her two fur babies, Tabus and Nero, along with hiking, watching documentaries, and listening to live music. Her home on the Potomac River also lends itself to any and all river activities, including kayaking, boating, and watching magnificent sunrises.
